Historical Monuments Destroy in Borujerd, Iran

A powerful 6.1 Richter earthquake shook Borujerd, Dorud and Khorram Abad in the western province of Iran, Lorestan. In the old city of Borujerd, the earthquake destroyed over 20 historical and ancient monuments and sites including Soltani Mosque, Jame’ Mosque, Khaloghe Ali and Imamzadeh Jafar Holly Shrines. Borujerd has more than 200 historical and ancient sites and buildings some of them age up to 4000 B.C.
